Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Brisio collects, how we use and protect it, when we share it, and the choices available to you.

Effective August 11, 2026 · Last updated August 11, 2026

Brisio ("Brisio," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy applies to the Brisio mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using Brisio, you acknowledge the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide when you create an account, complete your profile, create or interact with listings, coordinate donations, contact support, or otherwise use Brisio.

Account information

  • Name and email address
  • Password or authentication credentials
  • Organization or business name

Your password is used to authenticate your account. Brisio does not use it for advertising or unrelated purposes.

Address and location information

You may manually provide a street address, city, state, and ZIP code. Brisio does not require access to your device's GPS location for the functionality covered by this policy. Location information helps users discover and coordinate resources in relevant areas.

Listings and user-generated content

Listings may include descriptions, availability, quantity, location, organization details, and other information you submit. Avoid including unnecessary sensitive personal information in listings.

Information collected automatically

Brisio and its service providers may receive limited technical information such as device type, operating system and app version, IP address, error and crash data, and security or authentication information. The exact information depends on the services and SDKs Brisio uses.

2. How We Use Information

We may use information to:

  • Create, maintain, and authenticate Brisio accounts
  • Provide resource-sharing, matching, listing, donation, and pickup functionality
  • Help users discover resources in relevant locations
  • Provide customer support and respond to requests
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
  • Enforce our terms, maintain the Service, and diagnose technical problems
  • Protect Brisio and its users and comply with legal obligations

We will not use personal information for materially different purposes without appropriate notice or authorization where required by law.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information for money.

Service providers

We use third parties to operate Brisio, including Supabase for database infrastructure, Render for API hosting, and an email provider for password-reset messages. These providers may process information on our behalf as needed to provide their services.

Other Brisio users

Information connected with a resource listing or donation may be visible to other authorized users so they can understand and interact with it. Information you voluntarily place in listings may be visible to others.

Legal requirements

We may disclose information to comply with law or legal process, protect rights and safety, investigate fraud or security issues, or enforce our agreements and policies.

Business transfers

If Brisio is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, asset sale, or similar transaction, information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.

4. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. No electronic storage or transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your credentials and should notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain accounts, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, and protect legitimate interests. When information is no longer needed, we may delete, anonymize, or otherwise dispose of it in accordance with applicable law.

6. Account Deletion

You may delete your Brisio account from the Delete Account page in the app. We will delete or de-identify associated personal information that we are not required or permitted to retain. Some information may remain for a limited period for legal compliance, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, or security. Deleting an account may also remove its listings, profile information, and other associated content.

7. Your Privacy Choices

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information; learn how it is used or shared; object to or restrict certain processing; or withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

To make a request, email hariniik24@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity.

8. Communications

We may use your email address for account communications, security notices, service announcements, and support responses. We will not use it for unrelated promotions unless permitted by law and, where required, with your consent.

9. Children's Privacy

Brisio is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child under 13 provided personal information to Brisio, contact us. We will take reasonable steps to delete it when we learn it was collected without appropriate authorization.

10. Third-Party Services

Brisio currently relies on Supabase for database infrastructure, Render for API hosting, and an email provider for password-reset messages. We may add analytics, crash reporting, cloud storage, email, or other infrastructure services as Brisio develops. We will update this policy and relevant disclosures when required.

11. App Store Privacy Information

Brisio's Apple App Store privacy disclosures are intended to describe the data practices of the current app version accurately. They may be updated as functionality and data practices change.

12. International Users

Brisio may be accessible outside the United States. Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under local law, including in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, California, and other jurisdictions with specific privacy requirements.

13. California Privacy Rights

If California privacy laws apply to you, you may have rights concerning the collection, use, disclosure, correction, and deletion of personal information. Brisio does not sell personal information for monetary consideration. California residents may send applicable privacy requests to hariniik24@gmail.com.
